Torontonians Reconnect With Families and God During Advent Wreath-making Event

Parishioners of all ages participated in the Advent wreath-making event at St. Bonaventure
During Advent many of us are busy preparing for Christmas, taking care of our families, meeting deadlines at work, and fulfilling countless other important responsibilities. This constant state of action often prevents us from stopping to reflect on Christmas and intensifying that connection with our loved ones and God.
The Franciscans at the Franciscan Church of St. Bonaventure in Toronto, Ontario wanted to help their parishioners slow down during Advent so that they could indeed reconnect with their families and God. Friar Dan Quackenbush suggested that the parish could have an Advent wreath-making event. Making Advent wreaths allows families to slow down, bond, and ponder the coming of Christ.

The Advent wreath-making event turned out to be very popular with parishioners
And by all accounts, St. Bonaventure’s Advent wreath-making event was a great success. It filled up the entire parish centre with family members and friends who worked together in creating their wreaths.
