Baltimore Church Is Set to Celebrate Mother’s Day By Championing Life

Community life at St. Clement Mary Hofbauer Church in Baltimore
Mother’s Day is a celebration of the pivotal role that mothers play in our lives. The Franciscan-run St. Clement Mary Hofbauer Church in Baltimore celebrated the day by selling carnations outside its church building. Money raised from the carnations went to the Pregnancy Center on Baltimore’s Harford Road. The Pregnancy Center prepares young and expecting parents for parenthood. It is a life-affirming place that emphasizes the right of the unborn to come into this world and live up to their fullest potential.

Baltimore, Maryland
The Franciscans began their work in the 86 year-old St. Clement Mary Hofbauer Church in 1994 after the death of its pastor. Their church has a staff of eight (with Friar Donald Grzymski as pastor) and around 1300 parishioner families who come from a variety of backgrounds, but live as one faith community.
