Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration at St. John Church

in Cromwell, Connecticut

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

For seven years now, St. John Church in Cromwell, Connecticut has allowed parishioners the possibility of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration in the parish’s Chapel of Divine Mercy. The chapel is open 24 hours a day seven days a week. Thus far more than 300 individuals have participated in the adoration and the parish encourages more individuals to come out. Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration involves prayer and reflection in front of the exposed Blessed Sacrament. It is a very powerful time when we worship Lord Jesus and in turn strengthen ourselves.

The Conventual Franciscans who run St. John Church remember their founder’s - Francis of Assisi’s – deep relationship with Jesus Christ. Francis lived to imitate Christ; and on Mount La Verna in Tuscany, he received the Stigmata, Christ’s wounds from the cross. Francis' depth of faith inspires not only Franciscans but all Catholics to pray and develop their faith. Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration is part of this development.
