Franciscan Mission Association (FMA)
A Enrollment Form Become an FMA Promoter
What is the FMA?
The Franciscan Mission Association is the system through which we fund many of our Franciscan missions, and mutually support our Association members.
The word mission comes from the Latin word 'to send' and Franciscans are sent all the time. Over the years, for example, FMA funds enabled us to:
- Conduct our Vocation and Formation programs.
- Build churches in Brazil (1950's).
- Educate the Costa Rican who was awarded the 1986 Nobel Peace Prize.
- Edit and publish Companion (1930-2001).
- Open and staff a Shopping Mall Ministry (1999).
None of these efforts would be possible without the support of our friends, and the Franciscan Mission Association is a major source of funds.
This is how we work together:
- Franciscan: Friars spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ in whatever way we are called.
- Mission: Sent to where the need exists, to serve in a multitude of ways.
- Association: That great network of those who support us through their financial support, and likewise participate in the spiritual works of the friars.
Benefits
Those enrolled in the Franciscan Mission Association share in the daily spiritual works, liturgies and prayers of the Conventual Franciscan Friars.
