Friar Nader Ata Prepares Himself for Profession of Solemn Vows

Friar Nader Ata (centre) in Costa Rica
On June 30th Franciscan Friar Nader Ata finished his apostolic year in Costa Rica. Friar Nader spent his time in the country working as a teaching assistant at St. Francis College in Moravia. A happy extroverted and hard working individual Friar Nader grew close to Costa Rica’s friars and the community at St. Francis College. His friends in the country threw him several goodbye parties before his departure for the United States.
In the near future Friar Nader will resume his theology studies at the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas. Currently, though, he is headed to Italy for a month-long spiritual retreat to Italy in preparation for his Profession of Solemn Vows. In his Solemn Vows a friar joyously devotes himself to live life the Franciscan way for the rest of his days.
Friar Nader’s Profession will take place at St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland on September 17, 2011. It will begin at 11 am.
