Nine Men Follow Their Call as Conventual Franciscans

Ministers Provincial and newly invested friars

In the middle of July, 2010, a number of men took important spiritual steps in their lives as Conventual Franciscans. On the fifteenth day of that month, Justin Bronson, Jack Butler, Giles Gilbert, Tom Wiener, Ian Bremar, Gerard Toman, Stephen Gionta, James McInerney, and Chris Dudek were officially invested into the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. The ceremony took place at St. Francis of Assisi Novitiate in Mishawaka, Indiana. Each of the young men received his habit of probation during the ceremony. Ministers Provincial from the five Conventual Franciscan Provinces across North America attended the initiation in a fraternal gesture. They included Friar Justin Biase, Friar Christopher Dietz, Friar Jim Kent, Friar James McCurry, and Friar Patrick Greenough.
