Lecture on Human Trafficking at OFM Conv. Friary
At the end of this month, the Conventual Franciscan friars’ St. Hyacinth Friary on Cyman Drive in Chicopee, Massachusetts will host Heather Metcalfe from Franciscans International (FI). Heather will speak about human trafficking with a focus on how women and girls are particularly vulnerable to becoming victims of this horrible crime.

Members of Franciscans International promote and work for peace and human dignity
Heather’s organization – Franciscans International – is present in the United Nations and in various locations around the world. Franciscans of every kind work for FI. They serve the poor and the vulnerable in many different countries and advocate peace, justice, and other fundamental human rights in the United Nations.
Parishioners from Chicopee’s St. Stanislaus Basilica and concerned persons in general are welcome to attend Ms. Metcalfe’s presentation. There is no admission charge but donations are always welcome. Human trafficking is a tragedy that needs to be stopped.
