In it Friar Rick speaks about the life of St. Francis of Assisi. He goes into detail about Francis' family and how he heard God call him to service. Friar Rick also touches on the early days of the Franciscan community when men started joining Francis in his work as a servant of God.
The second video in Friar Rick Riccioli's Franciscan history series covers St. Francis of Assisi's meeting Pope Innocent III in Rome. Francis asked the pope permission to form his community within the Church. This video lasts 2 minutes and 22 seconds.
