Orange County Bishop Ordains Franciscan Friars to the Priesthood
Towards the end of spring, the Franciscan Friars celebrated the ordination to the priesthood of two of their brothers – Tammylee Ngo and James Phan. The actual ordination ceremony took place within a Mass at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Westminster, California - a town in Orange County. Bishop Cirilo Flores - an auxiliary bishop in the Diocese of Orange - ordained the two friars.
Friars Tammylee and James’ ordination celebration was conducted both in English and Vietnamese, reflecting their cultural background. The above video shows some highlights from this wonderful event. The viewer immediately registers the happiness of both newly ordained friars and their close relationship with their families, friends, and fellow Franciscans.
