Praying for the Unborn

Holy Family Parish, Peoria, Illinois

The parishioners and staff at Conventual Franciscan Holy Family Parish in Peoria, Illinois are deeply saddened by acts of abortion that transpire around the world. In a sign of action they all recently met for the “Rights of the Unborn Holy Hour” at Rosmini House in West Peoria. During the Holy Hour, they prayed the rosary and received benediction.

Friar John P. Grigus is pastor at Holy Family. His parish’s recent bulletin pointed out that a society is judged by how it treats its most vulnerable members. We must also remember that children are an incredible gift from God.  Each child that is born holds the potential to change the world for the better. He or she must have the opportunity to fulfill this potential.
