Radio Niepokalanow is now Available in Chicago

Just before Christmas the directors of Radio Niepokalanow in Poland - Friars Krzysztof Oniszczuk and Roman Deyna - met with several of their fellow Franciscans from the US Midwest - including Brother Joseph Wood and Friar Patrick Greenough the Minister Provincial of the Franciscans’ St. Bonaventure Province. The friars from Poland donated to the US friars’ House of Studies in Chicago a relic of St. Maximilian Kolbe.
Radio Niepokalanow is a Roman Catholic radio station based in Teresin, Poland. Started in 1938 by St. Maximilian Kolbe to spread our faith, Radio Niepokalanow continues to be run by Franciscan friars. Listeners all across Poland have been able to listen to Radio Niepokalanow for years. Friars Krzysztof and Roman recently however established an office for Polish broadcasting in Chicago. And now Polish-speakers in Chicago and its environs can also listen to Radio Niepokalanow. Friars from the US Midwest assisted their brothers from Poland during their time in Illinois. The St. Maximilian Kolbe relic is a token of appreciation for these acts of brotherly help.
