Men Explore Their Vocations in San Antonio

Retreatants, friars, and Franciscan students in San Antonio
On the last weekend of February, the Conventual Franciscan Friars’ friary in San Antonio, Texas was even more active than usual. Friar Paul Schloemer – vocation director for Our Lady of Consolation Province – was coordinating a Vocation Retreat Weekend at the friary. Six men discerning their vocation from God participated in the weekend. They talked with Friar Paul and other friars in the house about God speaking to us as individuals. Each and every one of us really does have a vocation to fulfill. At the friary the discerning men also had the opportunity to see what happens when a man hears a vocation from God to be a Franciscan and follows it through.
