Parish on Jersey Shore Holds Evangelization Seminar

The Evangelization Seminar at St. Peter's Parish in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey

St. Peter’s Parish in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey recently held an Evangelization Seminar with an interesting Franciscan twist. The Catholic, Franciscan-run parish invited Mr. Henri Petri and Rev. Fred Farrokh to share their conversion stories with the audience. Mr. Henri is Jewish and Rev. Farrokh is Muslim. Their stories brought to light the power of the Gospel.

While presenting their different perspectives on life, Mr. Petri and Rev. Farrokh also touched on the very current topic of misunderstandings amongst the world’s different faiths. Their conversation was clearly an act of interreligious dialogue. It showed that people from different faiths and cultures can really create connections with one another.
