Friar Marco Tasca installs Friar Patrick Greenough

as Minister Provincial of St. Bonaventure Province

The Conventual Franciscan St. Bonaventure Province recently held its provincial chapter at Marytown in Libertyville, Illinois. Friar Marco Tasca – Minister General of the Order – flew in from Rome to participate in the chapter, which required him to install the newly reelected Friar Patrick Greenough as Minister Provincial. Friar Marco also installed Friar Michael Glastetter as Vicar Provincial.

Marytown – the location of the St. Bonaventure Provincial Chapter – is about 40 miles north of Chicago. It is the home of a number of Conventual Franciscan Friars but also welcomes guests in search of a spiritual place. At Marytown, guests and friars can perform acts of Eucharistic Adoration and participate in pilgrimages. The National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe as well as the Kolbe Holocaust Exhibit are both found in Marytown. Keeping true to the spirit of St. Maximilian Kolbe, Marytown also maintains the Marytown Press where the Immaculata magazine is published.
