Reno's St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral Honours Its Saint

St. Thomas Aquinas
In Reno, Nevada, the Conventual Franciscan friars staff that city’s St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral. Every year around St. Thomas Aquinas’ feast day – which falls on January 28 - they hold a variety of exciting and informative events to celebrate the scholarly saint. This year, for example, a new five-part lecture series on literature and traditions connected to St. Thomas Aquinas offered parishioners and visitors a chance to learn something new about this great man. Lecturers included Franciscan friar Francisco Nahoe – the rector of the cathedral – and other members of the local scholarly and legal community.

Other events that St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral organized around their patron saint’s feast day - adoration, benediction, a novena prayer and liturgies - focused on things spiritual. Many people took advantage of these events to reconnect with the Lord.
