World Day of Prayer for Vocations 2007

On April 29, 2007 we celebrate the 44th World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Started by Pople Paul VI, the World Day of Prayer for Vocations always coincides with Good Shepherd Sunday. It is a day when we pray to stay strong and always follow our vocations which were given to us during our baptism.

In honour of the World Day, www.franciscans.org is featuring a very special Weekly Podcast by Friar Vincent Gluc. You can find the podcast under 04.27.2007. Also, every year the Holy Father releases a message for World Day of Prayer for Vocations. In this year's message, Pope Benedict XVI addresses the theme “the vocation to the service of the Church as communion”.
